Stromanthe Triostar has leaves streaked with cream, green and bright pink on top and deep magenta underneath. Like its prayer-plant cousins, the leaves lift at night. It's pet safe and gorgeous, and it needs steady moisture and humidity to stay that way.

Light + placement

Bright, indirect light brings out the pink. In lower light the leaves turn greener. Direct sun burns the pale variegated areas quickly.

Victoria tip: Winter heating is the main reason stromanthe leaves crisp. A small humidifier or a pebble tray of LECA nearby from October to April makes a big difference.

Watering

Keep the soil lightly moist; water when the top 2–3 cm is dry. Don't let it dry out completely, and don't leave it soggy. Rested or filtered room-temperature water helps prevent brown tips.

Our Tropical Potting Mix. Repot every 1–2 years in spring. Large plants can be divided when repotting.

Let us do it: Bring it in and we'll repot it for $1 per inch of pot ($2–$10), plus soil and a new pot if you need one. How to Repot a Houseplant
