String of Watermelons
Name: Senecio herreanus
AKA: String of beads, Gooseberry plant, String of raindrops
Why we love it: This fun succulent gets its name from the pattern of its leaves. The egg-shaped foliage has veins of dark green and light red, making it nearly identical to the fruit. This plant also reacts well to fertilizer, so you can encourage growth in its non-dormant season.
Light: Bright indirect light.
Water: Let the top inch of soil dry between waterings, be careful not to overwater.
Pet Friendly? No, this plant is not pet friendly.
Plants are sold in their nursery pots. Ceramic pots and baskets are sold separately.
