Name: Syagrus romanzoffiana

AKA: Cocos palm

Why we love it: This single-trunk palm grows densely with crinkled leaves. With enough sun, this plant will bloom clusters of flowers during summer, and bear fruit at the start of winter. 

Light: Direct sun. This plant can tolerate a bright indirect light spot but may need supplementary light in the winter.

Water: Let the soil dry almost completely between waterings. This plant is prone to rot so excess moisture is harmful.

Pet Friendly? Yes! This plant is safe for pets but can cause some stomach upset if large quantities of the plant are eaten by dogs.
