Why we love it:  A very popular item for collectors, nice in containers or rock gardens. Pads are shaped just like small potatoes and are virtually spineless. Occasional deep yellow flowers in late spring. Grows slowly, and forms a dense mound. This is a cold-tolerant cactus and hardy to zone 4. Height: 12cm (5") Spread: 30 cm (12")

Light: This plant prefers full sun.

Water: Allow the plant to dry between watering. Do not overwater. 

Pet Friendly? Opuntia are non-toxic but tiny glochids can irritate skin.
