Name: Opuntia polycantha

Why we love it:  This hardy cacti is known for its attractive paddles that produce a nice light yellow flower in the spring. This variety is hardy to zone 3 and can spread about 18" overtime. 

Light: This plant prefers full sun.

Water: Allow the plant to dry between watering. Do not overwater. 

Pet Friendly? Opuntia are non-toxic but spines can be painful.
