Heurnia Zebrina
Name: Heurnia zebrina
AKA: Lifesaver plant, carrion flower
Why we love it: This whimsical succulent grows in a creeping pattern, and gets its common name from its stunning flowers. Blooms are abundant through late spring and summer and are striped with colors of red and creme with a pronounced ring in the centre. Though the flowers are beautiful, they can produce a strong odour - some compare it to rotting flesh. This plant is not for the faint of heart!
Light: Bright indirect light. Can tolerate bits of direct sun but will become stressed with full southern exposure.
Water: Let the soil dry completely between waterings
Pet Friendly? No, this plant is toxic.
Plants are sold in their nursery pots. Ceramic pots and baskets are sold separately.
