Hurricane Cactus
Name: Lepismium Cruciforme
AKA: Rhipsalis lepismium cruciforme
Why we love it: This cactus earns its name from its long, elegant stems that gently droop, mimicking the swirling, graceful movement of a hurricane’s winds. In ideal conditions, this cactus has an olive green tone. Under several different conditions, you will see this plant flushing a magenta colour. Give it more heat or cold, less water, or fewer nutrients, and you will start to see the colour appear.
Light: Moderate to bright indirect light.
Water: Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Water sparingly in the winter. This is an epiphytic jungle (forest) cacti and requires very well-draining soil.
Pet Friendly? Yes, this plant is non-toxic!
