Name: Opuntia whipplei

Why we love it:  This hardy cacti is a more compact variety with lovely yellow flowers. It is hardy to zone 6 and stays about 20" tall and wide at maturity. 

Light: This plant prefers full sun.

Water: Allow the plant to dry between watering. Do not overwater. 

Pet Friendly? Opuntia are non-toxic but spines can be painful.
