Name: Polystichum setiferum ‘Herrenhausen’

AKA: Soft shield fern

Why we love it: This fern forms large, lacy rosettes of intricately divided, arching fronds. Very easy to grow. Adds a soft texture to the shade garden. These ferns can be grown indoors or outside here in Victoria BC.

Light: Moderate to bright, indirect light is ideal indoors. Full to part shade outside. 

Water: Allow the top 1-2" of soil to dry between watering

Growing zone: 

Victoria, BC and surrounding area is considered a zone 8-9 depending on where exactly you live.

Deer resistant? Yes!

Pet Toxicity: These plants are considered non toxic.
